The part of the body where the surgery is performed is cleaned with an antiseptic solution. Before this, the hair of this organ is shaved. A long cut is made on the lower abdomen on which the transplant needs to be done. The donor’s kidney is examined before re-applying it.

In this transplant, the patient is given anesthesia so that he does not feel any pain and fainting during this entire procedure. This process usually lasts 2 to 4 hours.

In this process, the new kidney is not placed in the place where the kidney was present. It is applied to the lower abdomen in the pelvis.

The kidney on the left side is placed on the right side and the kidney on the right side of the donor is placed on the left side. This will ease the urinary-path connection to the bladder.

The external iliac artery and the vein are associated with the renal artery and vena of the donor kidney. After this, the blood flow will be examined to find out if there is any bleeding in the list line.

The ureter is attached to the donor’s kidney to the patient’s bladder. The incision will be closed with stitches or surgical staples. The tube can be placed at the place where the fork is made to drain dirty blood and reduce swelling. Finally, bandage or dressing will be done to avoid any type of wound.
